The club

Terral Surf Club is an AI-native startup and digital beach club on Brazil's coast. The idea is simple: know when conditions are good for your level, and have a local crew you can count on. Join up and surf worry-free.

Our mission

Our mission is to champion the sport — physical and mental well-being, and a better quality of life. To bring together and strengthen everyone in the ecosystem. To engage the community and support partners around the region's beaches. To put science, technology and AI to work for us, ensuring safety and the best experience in the water.

How the rating works

Every club beach has a swell, wind, tide and storm forecast. We cross all of it to point you to the right window to surf — before you leave home or plan a trip.

Ratings come from a smart, autonomous and transparent model built on scientific data, updated in real time. Local experts calibrate it to get every spot as accurate as possible.

Safety first

Safety comes before the rating. When thunderstorms are forecast, the beach shows a warning and its rating is capped — perfect waves can't look like an invitation to paddle out in a lightning storm. When the atmosphere is unstable but no storm is forecast for that hour, the warning is lower-key: check the sky and the current conditions before you get in the water.

Where the tides come from

Tides come from the Brazilian Navy Hydrographic Center's official tide tables, calculated to the exact minute the tide turns at each beach. Each beach uses the nearest official station, and each beach's page tells you which one and how far away it is.
